Declaration and Hymn to Emmanuel the Christ of God
Emmanuel, God With Us: Declaration
Our Savior, the bright and morning Star, has come down from on high. We who once sat in darkness and shadow have found the truth, for Emmanuel, the Lord, is born among us!
It is right to bless Emmanuel, ever-living and most pure, our God-with-us. More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim, He has come without corruption, the Word made flesh. True Emmanuel, we magnify You!
O Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, wash away our sins. Master, forgive our wrongs. Holy One, heal our weaknesses for Your Name’s sake. Lord, have mercy.
The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in heaven, holy is Your Name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hallelujah—the Christ is born! All nations, peoples, and tongues glorify Him!
More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim, Emmanuel has come, the Word made flesh. True God-with-us, we magnify You!
O Lord Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, Son of God, for you have shown mercy to us.
All Glory, Honor and Praise to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and always, forever and ever. Amen.
Christ Is Born: A Hymn of Joy
Christ is born—glorify Him!
Christ comes from heaven—welcome Him!
Christ is on earth—lift up your hearts!
To the Son, eternal before all ages, now born of the Virgin, we cry out: You are lifted up. Holy are You, Lord!
Praise:
Humanity was made in God’s image, yet fell and lost eternal life. But the wise Creator, seeing us trapped in decay, opened the heavens and came down, taking on our human nature.
For He is glorified!
Adam, shaped from dust and deceived, saw Christ born of woman and cried: For our sake You have become like us! You have raised us from death to life, for You are holy, Lord!
Holy are You, Lord!
Praise:
Christ, the Wisdom, Word, and Power—the shining light of the Father—truly became human, a mystery hidden from angels and people. Sharing our fragile flesh, yet remaining God, He makes us sharers in His divine life.
For He is glorified!
Rejoice, Bethlehem! From you has come the Shepherd of Israel, who rides upon the Cherubim and reigns over all creation. He has claimed us as His own.
Holy are You, Lord!
Doxology:
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and always, forever and ever. Amen.
Christ is born—glorify Him!
Christ comes from heaven—welcome Him!
Christ is on earth—lift up your hearts!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Be lifted up and rejoice, for He is raised on high and is glorified!
